Past President Gerry Myers delivered the following beautiful Invocation this morning:

Almighty God, in the spirit of this season that’s often referred to as “the most wonderful time of the year,” help us to lift our spirits and be truly men and women of good cheery, to do something good and meaningful for others.

On this day, help us to do something like:

Apologize to an adversary for a past disagreement,

Call a friend who things we’ve forgotten them,

Dismiss a suspicion, and replace it with trust,

Encourage anyone who has lost hope,

Keep an unfulfilled promise,

Forget an old grudge,

Express our gratitude for another person’s kindness,

Overcome all of our fears,

Take a moment to appreciate the beauty of our surroundings,

Tell someone we love them.

Tell them again, and again.
