Rotarian Dr. Steve McIntosh with Interact Members

Interact is our local high school club that we sponsor at Estero High School.  Fellow Rotarian Dr. Steve McIntosh was the founder and visionary behind establishing the Interact Club at EHS.  Through Steve’s many years of commitment to developing and growing the club, it is now the largest student club on campus.

Interact is involved in many different community service projects.  In years past, the Interact members have participated in helping our club sell Christmas trees and are involved in our Rotary Run.  The Interact club also individually participates in it’s own community service outreach projects, such as supporting the Ronald McDonald House, the Special Olympics, Race for the Cure, Taste of Estero and participate in reading to younger students in local elementary schools.

Our club’s sponsorship of Interact at Estero High School furthers supports the New Generations Avenue of Service.  These bright young people are exposed to Rotary, already know the 4 Way Test, and are likely to get involved with Rotaract when in college, and ultimately become an active member of Rotary when graduating.
