PeterLast evening marked the second anniversary of the Southwest Spotlight, a beautiful news magazine known for original content and good news about the goings on in the greater Bonita Springs Area.

The founder of “The Spotlight,” as it has come to be known in Bonita, Peter O’Flinn, is also a great Rotarian.

Peter originally joined the noon Rotary club and then transferred to our club last year. He has been a great member as we work to improve life in the Bonita Springs area and around the world. If you are interested in more information about Southwest Spotlight, check out the website here:

The evening also marked the grand opening of the offices where Southwest Spotlight will now operate in at the Sunshine Professional Center. In this photo you can see fellow Rotarian Ben Nelson, Mayor of Bonita Springs, as he and Peter hold the scissors for the ribbon cutting on the new office. To Ben’s left is Rotarian Carl Schwing, City Manager.

There were quite a few fellow Rotarians there to help celebrate the event, including Stephanie Kissinger, Bobbi Bird, Don Thomson, Jim O’Leary, Steve Slachta, Drew-Montez Clark, Bob Rosier, Tom Briers, John Mathes, Carl Schwing, Joe Murgalo, President of the Chamber of Commerce, and no doubt others that this author is missing.

The event is one of many hosted by the Bonita Springs Area Chamber of Commerce to celebrate and support business expansion in our great town, Bonita Springs. On behalf of The Rotary Club of Bonita Springs, congratulations Peter. We look forward to many more years of share experiences serving the community.
