As we approach tomorrow, the final day of this Rotary Year, Thursday, June 30, 2011, we all owe our President, Jim Dati a huge thank you and congratulations. Jim, we do all thank you for your care of our club, your dedication and leadership. You have lead us to complete a truly outstanding year of service to our club and Rotary International.
In case anyone missed it, Jim was awarded the President of the Year Award by our District Governor beating out all other club presidents from Bradenton to Marco Island and everywhere in between.
Also, in case anyone missed the meeting this morning, attached is a photo of Jim bearing the now famous, or should I say infamous, “ugly tie.” The tie now belongs to the ages and I am informed that a call is being placed from the director of the National Archives to make the appropriate preservation plans (check http://www.archives.gov/) for further information. On a serious note, Jim’s ugly tie program has raised close to our now surpassed $1,000 for our Foundation. Jimmy, you ‘da man!
