Fundraising

The Rotary year begins on July 1 of each year and runs through June 30.  During that time, our club raises money in a number of ways.  We hold a weekly raffle at our meetings with 50% of the proceeds going to our Foundation and the other 50% going to one lucky winner who’s raffle ticket number is called and who pulls the joker from a deck of cards.  This process can usually take many weeks and so the pot tends to build up with time.  We sell beer at the 4th of July festivities in downtown Bonita Springs.  We hold a Poinsettia sale in the fall and deliver the plants in December.  We sell Christmas trees.  Our Christmas/Holiday party has an auction which raises thousands of dollars.  We hold a reverse raffle with is a great social for Rotarians and guests.  We also sponsor an annual 5K run with the proceeds of that event earmarked toward our Gift of Life program.
